24/05/08 Chris Malcomson, kick Boxer
Hi, my name is Chris Malcolmson.
I am a 29 year old plumber, originally from Melbourne, Australia. Iíve been weight training on and off about 8 years but Iíve been training seriously for the last 3 years.
As well as weight training, I also train in Mua Thai, Kick Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
When I first met Marco, I was at a stage in my strength training where I was completely frustrated with my lack of progress. I had not increased any muscle mass for the last year and a half, and every time I tried to ďBulk Up ď Iíd just gain fat. I believed I had reached my ďnaturalĒ potential.
I did a lot of research on the Internet and in magazines to design my diet and training programs. I ate what I believed at the time to be a pretty good, healthy, balanced diet, consisting of fruit, wholegrain and protein shakes and thatís not to mentioning the hundreds of Pounds spent on the latest supplements that promised miracles but always failed to deliver
It was by chance, I got talking to Marco in the gym. I agreed to take some personal training sessions.
Marco totally revolutionized the way I train and what, and how I eat. Within no time I was starting to see results. When I started with Marco my body fat was 17 %, and after 6 weeks it had dropped to 11% and that is without any cardiovascular work.
My weight remained about the same, which meant I had gained muscle as well.
By week 9 I had reached my target of under 10 % Body Fat. Iím in the best shape of my life but more importantly, Iím making steady progress again which is psychologically important to know that all the effort Iím putting in is yielding results. I have also noticed vast improvements in my Mua Thai and Jiu-Jitsu, particularly relating to hand speed, strength and explosive power.
